Problems

Specializing in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases, HawkLaw is a law firm that serves clients across South Carolina.

Despite originally ranking as one of the top firms in the state on search engines, their competitors were beginning to surpass them. In addition, they were facing difficulties reaching certain demographics, restricting their ability to connect with a broader client base.

In light of these challenges, the HawkLaw team decided they needed a comprehensive new marketing strategy that would put them back at the top and approached MeanPug for help.

What we improved

MeanPug revamped HawkLaw’s digital presence, focusing on several key areas including: 

 

  • Developed a monthly content plan for blogs and contributor articles based on trending topics and keywords relevant to HawkLaw’s practice areas
  • Refreshed old content and practice area pages with up-to-date information and keywords
  • Conducted Google Business Profile audits across two of the firm’s offices, creating 100 legal-relevant citations for one
  • Resolved numerous issues related to core web vitals
  • Improved paid advertising by integrating radio ads into HawkLaw’s marketing strategy. Also built and launched new branded search campaigns and “call only” ads focusing on motor vehicle accident and personal injury cases.

As a result of these efforts, organic search became the #1 traffic source to HawkLaw’s website, with a 6.3% increase in organic visitors. In addition, Hawklaw received 1,800 new backlinks across six referring domains. The firm also saw 908 keywords improve in ranking.
